Before you is a study conducted as part of a broader, regional multi-method research on engendering forced migration, socio-political transition and mental health in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Metohija. Group 484 began implementing the two-year project in September 2014, together with the Foundation for Women’s Empowerment from Sarajevo (leading partner) and the Balkan Policy Institute from Priština. This research was carried out under the Regional Research Promotion Programme in the Western Balkans (RRPP). The aim of the programme, implemented from 2008 to 2016, was to promote social science research in the Western Balkans. It was funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
Thirty women from Serbia participated in this part of the research. They were selected from a previous pool of 250 participants who took part in the first, psychometric phase of the study. The selection was based on the participants’ prior agreement to continue with the study.
